2027 ANNUAL DESIGN + LIVE PRINTING
A portrait of Syd Petersen, our 2027 designer (photo courtesy Syd); Syd’s design.
Each year we contract an artist in our shanty network to create a new image to promote and celebrate the shanties. This year we selected past Production Director Syd Petersen whose design leans into non-human-animal based shanty lore, highlighting some of their favorite creatures that have graced our village! In this, Syd captures the playful nature of Art Shanty Projects and gives a nod to our history. Each and every part of this design holds meaning!
Syd will be doing LIVE PRINTING of their design at the launch party!
Prints are $20 each
Bring your own item to print on! T-shirts, hoodies, jean jackets and fabric for patches all work well. We will have a limited amount of black paper if you prefer.
We’re using white ink, so darker backgrounds provide the best contrast.
