Winter Plein Air Painters demonstrate the challenges and joys — really! — of outdoor landscape painting in winter. Members of Outdoor Painters of Minnesota will “paint the town” while encouraging visitors to pick up a paint brush and discover for themselves the answer to the perennial question: does paint freeze? Painters will supervise three Berton Box paint-boxes for visitors to test watercolor, oil, or acrylic properties in whatever winter weather conditions Nature deals us for the day.
