OPENING THE BLACK BOX OF WINTER

For a long time, winter in lakes was a mystery to scientists. Now researchers are opening the black box of winter to learn about what lakes do when they are covered by ice and how lakes respond to our rapidly changing winters. Using live, immersive projections from underwater microphones and cameras, we invite you to step inside this Black Box of Winter. Become a lake scientist. Take a dive into the under-ice world: a mysterious space filled with strange sights, sounds, and creatures.
