Nearly 45 years after the onset of the AIDS epidemic, there is still no cure. The ongoing nature of AIDS means that a memorial for it must address the past, present, and future. This memorial shanty is a prototype inspired by the designs of late architect David Madson. Madson imagined a memorial brought to life by the contributions of the community. By extension, we welcome tributes and conversations related to HIV, those affected by it, and other epidemics.
