Franconia Flash is an interactive art experience inside a dazzle camouflage sculpture. After full dark immersion, participants will be 10,000x more sensitive to light. This night vision is due to an increase in visual purple—a light-sensitive chemical composed of retinal (a derivative of vitamin A) and the protein opsin. Finally, you are exposed to a series of flashes that generates an unexpected afterimage — a vision planted in your brain that remains for a long time.
