2026 ANNUAL DESIGN + LIVE PRINTING

Each year we contract an artist in our shanty network to create a new image to promote and celebrate the shanties. This year we selected illustrator and animator Sishir Bommakanti who continues the trend of looking underneath the ice, highlighting an array of imaginative lake creatures that live in the water below our floating village. This design recognizes that we’re part of an entire ecosystem while leaning into an evolving mythology of the shanty village.
We’ll be doing LIVE PRINTING of this design at the launch party!
Prints are $20/pop, bring your own item to print on! T-shirts, hoodies, and patches work well. We’re using white ink, so darker backgrounds provide the best contrast. Print area is 9″ x 11″.
